28 Months Later - Boyles Last Stand?

28 Weeks later made its debut in 2007. With a build up of an unexpected cult following in the United States, and the United Kingdom, Fox Atomic, an ofshoot of Fox Films,  decided to give a green light on the sequal to this great film. Many tactics were used to market the next film in London, and viral marketing on the internet on a global scale. Having seen that the first film was created on a low budget, 5,000,000 pounds.. with a return of 64 million worldwide... Fox Atomic approved the use of five times the original movies budget.

With viral Marketing such as fake removable Graffiti in London, which is considered legal that had www.ragevirus.com plastered on many suburbian walls, and commercial buildings alike paired with Biohazard Sign projections being displayed on the " White Cliffs of Dover " The White Cliffs of Dover are cliffs which form part of the British coastline facing the Strait of Dover and Franceto draw in a whole new audience to continue the zombie saga.
However, with the original cast being wrapped up with other projects, like Cillian Murphey, many detail oriented fans of the film could already forsee the climax of this franchise already on its knees. With many interviews though with MTV, and other stations Danny Boyle has stated that this film is in consideration, and the plot to the film has been thought out. Since the success of the first film, and the bickering between the two parties of the second film it almost seems that this franchise might not make it. I beg to differ, this multimillion dollar grossing film will go on to spawn another film, but under what pretense? The pretense, ha, this is about the after math of the sequal. The plague has broken the corridors once again, and was implied to have spread all over the globe. This is what my belief on the premise which the next film will be based.
Cilliam Murphey was the bread and butter of the first film, which spawned this neo Zombie, independent fetish. The feat of running zombies, a discombobulated coma patient, and the beutiful scenery of London gone awry and empty were the bait that drew us in. So what is in store for us if we are to move on to see a trilogy. That is easy of course.
Cast ( If done right )
Cillian Murphey
Natalie Portman
Alex DeLarge
Michelle Rodriguez

Okay this is only speculation but this is a small sample of the cast that i'd put into place.

Plot: With these unknowing survivers of the mass plague sweeping the globe, it has come to the attention of the survivers that international forces are no longer intertwined. Borders have been set, and new refuge centers have been placed in odd locations in Switzerland, South America, Great Plains in the United States, and the Sahara Dessert. Out comes Cillian Murphey, having been rescourceful and seeing the planes crossing over Britain makes it to a desolate unrecognized gathering camp in Ireland. After encountering ex United States forces ( Michelle Rodrigues ) they esacape via fugitive means to Switzerland, meeting the young beautiful scientist ( Natalie Portman ) After an explosion gone wrong, they are forced to abandon the pseudo CDC center in the alps, and must move along with the possible cure to the sahara dessert, where there missing link lies within an almost extinct scorpion. Realizing that the last functional facility is left in the midwest United States, they must make a daring mission across the atlantic via pirate confiscated ships, and make a journey through the ruins of New York City. After traveling via an underground cure unit, they finally arrive to find the defacto government of the United States wants to confiscate the cure, and manufacture it themselves for world supremacy. With the help of unknowing partners, and the will to produce the cure against Rage... they fight forces beyond their imagination, and make it past a worldwide waste land to save the human race

Of course this is all opinion. Comment if you like. Have a good Night

Fear.Net Presents a whacky twist on Zombies. Zombie RoadKill

Just when you think the Genre might have stopped at Pet Semitary, I run along a blog named Zombie Response Team. ( http://www.zombieresponseteam.net/ ) I was driving down the road here in San Antonio when I see a Jeep Wrangler, equipped with a CB radio, Big Tired, and a huge decal that read: " Zombie Response Team " With this being my third vehicle in the city to see with the decals I pulled up next to him to ask him what it was. The guy claimed he had started the website a while back and threw me a rubber wristband with the websites name on it. I come to find a whole blog about survival gear, reviews, and products personally made by the gentleman himself. It seems that I may not be the only one obsessed with Zombies in this city and could be an outlet to connect with like minded individuals. I do emplore you to go check out the site, considering it is much better structured than mine so far.

While on the website, I saw a link to Zombie Road Kill on Zombie Road Kill Episode 4.. which took me to fear.net

Here takes place a story of young 20 somethings blazing on the highways only to run over a poor innocent squirrel. That innocent squirrel happens to reanimate back to life, and to inflict revenge on the car pool of young adults. With scenes of missing eyeballs, skunks that use their self defense mechanisms to the extreme, and a park ranger with one arm bent on one lined rhetoric, I found myself smoking a cigarette watching these episodes like an addiction for almost an hour.

If I found myself being chased by epic dead animals and creatures of all kind, I would find it even more hard to survive, then a zombie human horde chasing me for months at a time in the London Square. 28 Months Later??? That will be a topic for another day.. Anyhow go check out the link and give me some feedback on what you think sometime.

A quote from Ashley Wood, co-author of 'Zombies VS Robots'

"With zombies we see the process of decay as it happens right before our eyes. They are this kind of perverse manifestation of human desire for immortality gone horribly awry."
-Ashley Wood

Great Dead Poetry

 Published in the Ashen Eye:

Torment
What is happening out there?
These people…These depraved creatures
Plaguing us like the locusts in Babylon
My mind cannot, will not comprehend what I have witnessed tonight
This ordeal glistening like a surreal testament from Argento
This nightmare cannot be real
I shake, trembling from the fear
I must stay strong
The others are counting on my vigilance
For generations it has been passed to me to have faith
Faith in what I ask
Truths and lies, heaven and hell
Depends on your perspective, doesn't it?
I remember my grandmother enumerate scripture and verse
Words I saw promulgated by the corrupt and pretentious
In my mind, I can hear her now

It was allowed to fight against God's people and defeat them
And it was given authority over every tribe, nation, language and race (Rev 13:7)

Are we in the midst of the 42 months of deceit?
Or has god finally forsaken us at last?
In my mind, the answer is clear
He did fuck all with these sins of torment
I must survive to find the truths trapped in this desperate visage
What has caused the dead to rise against us?
To crave our flesh?
I will never give in to their torture
I will face my destiny with my shotgun in my hand
They will not have me
At last, the brightness of the new day severs the crack
Time to wake the others
Time to regroup
Our night in hell is over
For now, we are safe
We survive.

Zombie Strippers - A New Direction in The Genre, or Just Plain Stupid?

Topping off to be one of the most obscene zombie films ever made, in a sexual manner that is, Zombie Stippers dares to explore mixture of pornography, and one liner jokes.
Never did I imagine, when I was six years old watching old Romero films, that I'd see the undead projecting pool balls from down south areas. Besides projectile pool balls, decaying tits, and a labia that would scare you away from women for life, it also show cases some of the porn industries top stars! Slowly snatching men away from the viewing stage to the private area, the undead feed off the lust the men have for the decaying/walking/dancing corpses. However can you call this a true zombie film? Considering the zombies actually fight each other in a duel at the end of the movie. I'm not going to spoil the movie for you too much, but I do encourage you to see this bizaree take of what could happen in a strip club that may just cause the apocalypse. Funny Movie, However EPIC FAIL!!!!!

Necessary Tools To Survive a Zombie Apocalypse

Plenty of Cash " Millions"  ( To burn at night to keep you warm on freezing nights )

A Divorce Lawyer ( Where you can purposely trip him while being chased by a horde of fleash eating zombies

Handle of Jack Daniels ( To Ease The Pain when you Think you've been bitten by a zombie )

Paintball Gun ( To Paint a Zombie Horde into a beautiful Monet like canvas on a Bored Day )

The White House ( To Serve as a Rehabilitation Camp for Zombies, Not much Has Changed on Capitol Hill )

Portable DVD Player ( To Watch Dawn of the Dead and Remind you of the Things you really need )

My favorite musical scores for Zombie Movies

1.)                                                   28 Days Later & 28 Weeks Later -

John Murphy (born 4 March 1965) is an English film composer . He is a self taught multi-instrumental musician who began his career in the 1980s

Most notable song to myself from the film - " In a Heart Beat "

2.)
Dawn of The Dead ( Original )
Goblins- Italian Progressive Rock band that wrote the Italian score for Romero's Dawn of the Dead

Dead Snow
And for this amazing film, I just had to throw in the end song to a well crafted fun movie.

These three are the immediate soundtracks that come to mind. However I'd like to hear more input on your favorite indie zombie films, and what I should include in this post.

Obsession or Private Fantasy?

Walking the Earth post mortem is something that is eventually pondered by most movie buffs alike. Whether you to choose to let your obsessioin absorb your lifestyle into it is another. What attracts us to the imagery, dialogue, and violent nature of these films that gives us a piece of a void that we are seeking in real life. Post apocalyptic tendencies, survivalism, and even the idea of life after death. As they say, " When there is no more room left in Hell, the dead will walk the Earth." This may be a short beginning post, but expect much news, updates, opinions, and theoretical situations coming soon.
